Our second family visit to Yellowstone National Park came with a bit of trepidation because we had already been there and weren’t sure what was left to see. Our previous experience with Yellowstone back in 2010 was at the tail end of a 5 week epic road trip throughout the Northwest where we had hiked ourselves into fatigue and by the time we arrived at Yellowstone, we were “hiked out” and ready to go home. So, it’s possible that our opinion of Yellowstone was jaded by our exhaustion on our first visit.
